Having problems with your 1991 Ford Explorer ?

My 91 Explorer has 4x4 but it does not engage. The lights next to the buttons flicker for less than a second when I turn the key. And recently the Automatic door locks have stopped working, And then tonight the cruise control went. I have no idea what is wrong, Wiring looks fine. ANd all the fuses are good. Please help

The only central connecting point for all these systems is the ECM. I mean it is possible you have a vacum leak on the cruise control system causing a problem and then a short or blown fuse that would effect the door locks and finally a bad solenoid in the trans all at once but I would look at the ECM. Now, if the Trans has been acting up, the 4X4 not working, for a while it is possible that it is just that bad Solenoid in the transmission. I would check the ECM first then move to the Transmission.
