Having problems with your 1999 Toyota Camry Solara ?

I have a 1999 Solara with a code of P0440. I have about 130K miles on the car. The car runs beautifully with no major issues. So my question is what is the probability that I may have to change out the solenoid. What is this rated if I were to take it in and have done.I am debating the cost of having it done with the savings of doing it myself however it will take me longer since I don't have the equipment a mechanic has. Is it worthwhile to do myself anyway?

Po440 is the evaporator what is happening is I found
\012when you over fill your car Thepumps it being over filled
\012the gas runs down the return
\012line at the neck and fills up one of the valves on the canister
\012if you take the canister off get the part number from the valve
\012it schould have gas in it. Replace. It otherwise replace the who

I have a 1999 Camry with this code. Apparently there are a few things this code could indicate. Ultimately, in my car, changing the charcoal canister fixed it. It could also indicate a lift sensor needs or EGR valve needs replacing. As the charcoal canister is basically an "air filter" that doesn't affect how the car runs, I waited until before my safety inspection, as the check engine light wouldn't go off until the problem was fixed!
