Having problems with your 2000 Ford Focus ?

Engine Failure When driving for extended periods of time (about 300-400 miles), the engine will begin sputtering and will shut off. I have to pull to the side of the road and turn off the ignition. After about a few seconds, I'll crank the car up and proceed. The engine cut off about twelve times in a 200 mile increment. I've taken the car to two repair shops and they have done computerized diagnostic test and have not been able to find the problem. Any idea what the problem is? Thanks!
