Having problems with your 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora ?

I HAVE A 2001 AURORA. SEEMS TO HAVE A GROUND PROBLEM SOMEWHERE. HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD ALL LIGHTS WENT OUT. LOST POWER STEERING THEN THE CAR QUIT. STARTED LATER AND EVERY THING IS FINE. HAVE NOTICED SOMETIMES A LIGHT WILL GO OUT THEN WILL BE FINE LATER. THEN SOME TIMES A DIFFERENT LIGHT WILL GO OUT. ANY HELP WITH THIS WOULD BE GREAT. JUST DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START.

Answers :

Clean your battery terminals-lift the rear seat, the battery is under the passenger seat, disconnect the terminals (both), use a wire brush and get the cable lugs shiny on the inside, where they clamp onto the battery terminals. Then clean the battery posts, hoop up the positive cable first, then the negative cable-while you are there, look at the negative cable and make sure it other end is tight and not rusted where it connects to the body.
