2004 Land Rover Discovery that I cannot get into low range
\015 I have a 2004 Land Rover Discovery that I cannot get into low range...I have tried everything that the manual says to do...I bought it with a little over 36,XXX miles and it has probably never been in low range...Other than the cruise control not working this is the only problem that I've had...I need the low gear to pull my fishing boat up the ramp..Appreciate any help...\015\012\015\012Thanks,\015\012Ron\015

Unfortunately, the Low/High Range selector linkage on these vehicles freezes up very easy if not used regularly. If you had tried everything else, including trying to shift at a very slow speed, the only answer is usually to take apart the selector linkage, grease it and replace the bushings. This is quite an involved job and takes the better part of a day.
