Having problems with your 2006 Chevrolet Impala ?

I have a 2006 Chevy Impala LT 3.5 L, and if I drive the car, the fan under the hood remains on, even after the car has been shut off and the key has been taken out. It stays on for about 2 minutes, then shuts off. I didnt notice the car over heating, and this has only happened 2 times in the passed few months....any ideas? thanks!

It's suppose to. The fan will continue to run after the car is shut down to cool the radiator down before a timer shuts off the fan. I also own an '06 Impala LT with 69000 miles, and the coolant has been "disappearing" Since there isn't any excess water coming from the tailpipe, I'm figuring it's the water pump, due to the noises it makes (think marbles in a beer can). Be safe and check you coolant level. Hope this helps you!
