Having problems with your 1981 Ford F 100 ?

I have a 1981 F100 Big 6 truck that will not

\015 I have a 1981 F100 Big Six engine that will not start. It turns over but just will not hit. When I raise the hood, I smell fuel-like it's flooded-but I did not use the accelerator in the process. My first thought is no fire (rotor button, coil, etc.) but I also lean toward the choke. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you...Steve\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-06-2018

Answers :

If your smelling alot of fuel without using the pedal at all the floats are most likely stuck open in the carb. Which will cause it to flood out. I would check for spark first the go from there.
