Having problems with your 1982 Ford F 250 ?

I have a 1982 F250 and i put new brake pads on the back. A short time after i had a grinding sound removed the drum and found the bottom left hand spring had broken. This is a funny spring that hooks over another metal type object that goes back into the backing plate. I need a picture of the assembly so i can see what part i need and if i fitted the other side correctly please Cheers terry Melbourne Australia

Go to www.rockauto.com and you can see what you need.
Good Day!

You know if you go to a car parts store, they sell neat little packets of all the springs and clips which you find inside the brake drum. These are very cheap little kits and should be replaced when you do the shoes. Those clips are made to go on once, and the springs weaken ad become brittle with age.

I assume you have a cell phone with a camera, except everything is numbered backwards! So next time take a picture of the drum innards before taking it apart. Goes for belts too.

Good Luck!
