Having problems with your 1984 Chevrolet S-10 ?

I have a 1984 S10 4x4 with 5 speed standard, extended cab. It has a 3 inch lift, dual exhaust with headers and larger boots. The 2.8 does not have enough power to reach highway speed. Any suggestions? Larger motor, what would fit? Any way to increase h.p. from existing engine? My son in law is replacing the 350 in his 81 camaro with a high performance engine. Would this 350 bolt into the s10?

Answers :

You can fit a Small Block V8 into an S-10 with a little bit of work. There is also kits for sale for this purpose as well as books on how to do it. Just do a google search for "S-10 V8 kit".

If you do decide to follow through with the idea you will have a lot of fun ;) I put a 425hp Small Block in my 85 S-10.
