Having problems with your 1984 Ford F 250 ?

I have 1984 ford F250 diesel. when you try to start all electrical shuts down. Its comes back after a few min. could it be the starter is shorting out causing a breaker to engage?

Answers :

Had same problem it was corrosion on the battery terminal + side where all the red wires connect. you probably have 2 batteries check both
