My 1984 grand marquis does not get heat

\015 I changed the thermostat, the upper and lower radiator hose is warm. Both heater core hoses are hot. I added coolant and simultaniously squeezed top hose to purge air. I had heat for 5 minutes this morning then none all day. I very rarely ever have heat Once in a great while between. Is thermostat backwards, should I flush Heater core?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 12-11-2018
