Having problems with your 1984 Subaru Gl ?

Subaru turns over but will not start and engine smokes.

\015 I'm looking to nuy a 1984 Subaru GL 4WD Turbo wagon. The owner says the engine "smokes" and the car "cranks over", buy will not start. The seller says the engine has brand new heads and he thinks the smoke may be due to the turbo seal being bad. The car has 132,000 miles and is in great condition. Would I have to make a big investment to fix this car? Any idea of what the repairs could cost? Thank you for any feedback I can receive from anyone.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 30-11-2020

\015\012now on to the question.it can smoke for a number of reasons but the only way to check any real problems is if it runs. could be improper head job, could be turbo seals, but car would run with poor seals. check plugs for oil burning, but these are not very easy to check. subarus are not cheap to fix. so with that good luck.
\015\012im not a fan of these due to expensive parts cause its a subaru. unless there is something real special about this car i would walkaway
