Having problems with your 1984 Subaru Gl ?

Elecrical system is dead on 84 subaru gl

\015 When I changed the alternator I forgot to remove the battery cables and the wire to the battery arced out on metal for a second. Now I have no juice to anything. Could I have fried the coil or ignition module? I have no juice to the battery wire that goes to the alternator now. I can see no melted wires or fuses. Answers :

You should check the fusible links. You can find them under the hood. They are designed to melt to protect the wiring in the car from over current. They will probably be in a box.
