Having problems with your 1985 Chevrolet Camaro ?

Engine overheats My step-son has an '85 Camaro that overheats with him while driving. He and some others sem to think it has a cracked block. I was wondering if there could be any other possibilites that would cause it to overheat. I myself think it's a blown head gasket but I've been wrong before. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Answers :

Any thing in the cooling system that could be clogged could make it over heat and also a stuck thermostat if it goes through water or has white smoke out the exhaust can determine a blown head gasket
Anything leaking? will it overheat sitting running? will it over heat while driving with the heat on?has he been using a lot of coolant?any bad smeels in car?Smoke alot while driving?Let me know thanks
