Having problems with your 1985 Chevrolet Citation ?

How do I get to Flywheel on a 1985 chevy custom deluxe?? I replaced starter and still a funny sound coming from that general area like its missing teeth....I do not want to ruin the starter, so Im thinking to replace and I need info of where to start and how do do it~!!!....thanks alot.........Bill Brado

Say Bill you are going to have to pull the transmission back to get to the fly wheel.. you might pull the starter back off and look up in there and see if there are damaged teeth on the flywheel. if it looks good you might have to go back to the parts store and get some spacers for your starter .. sometimes they have to be shimmed up to work properly .. hopefully this will help because the flywheel is first thing that goes on the engine before the torque converter then the transmission all come out . holler if i can help Jerry
