Having problems with your 1986 Ford F 250 ?

I took a ford 460 out of my 76 lincoln and put it in my 86 f250 and put the oil pressure sender out of the 86 engine into the 76 engine and only worked for about an hour then quit any suggestions and trying to find where the rpm sensor is to hook up my rpm gauge no clue where its at. The lincoln did not have an rpm gauge if that helps

Answers :

You should use the sending unit that is for the VEHICLE and the tach hooks to the negative side of the coil.\012\012\012
