Having problems with your 1987 Chevrolet Camaro ?
I need to know how to install the new starter a 1987 camero.
Answers :
General procedure to replace a starter is to disconnect the battery, un-bolt the starter from the engine,
remove the wires from the solenoid (mark them so you know where they go) and reverse the process to install. If there is anything in the way of physically getting the starter out, remove or move it out of the way. some starters require a bit of turning to get them to clear obstructions. If your radio has a security code, know it before disconnecting the battery...same for security systems if you have one.
The connections on the starter are mounted in a plastic cap....don't over-tighten or you will break it.
