Having problems with your 1987 Ford Bronco ?

No wait i just needed to know if the muffler problem will cause my truck to fail safty inspection not immisions lol

If the muffler is literally falling apart, I would replace it before you take it to get it safety inspected. If it just has a small hole in it and has no chance of it literally coming apart, then I wouldn't worry about it. So technically, it's not necessary to replace the muffler for a safety inspection but it'll be up to who is inspecting the car if he decides to have you replace it or not. So if the muffler is "rough" , I would replace it. If it's still in good shape, then I wouldn't bother replacing it.
