1987 Econoline 250 water leaks through fresh air intake into cab!
\015 I have a 1987 Econoline 250 and have moved to a rainy climate. It seems rain water is pouring down the windshield into an air intake just under the passenger-side hood hinge. To my understanding, the water then travels through wherever the intake leads (through the heater core perhaps [as it is directly under the intake]) into the passenger side of the cab and out of the heater core box under the dash. On a rainy day this can amount to several litres of water leaking into the cab. I can't seem to be able to access this part of the engine compartment without taking out the battery and heater core. I am wondering if this is simply how econolines are made or if there is a hose that may be broken or obstructed. A schematic of the air intake system would be useful. Any advice?\015
