Having problems with your 1987 Toyota Pickup ?

I just replaced the battery after having problems with the truck not starting. After I replaced it, it ran great...temporarily. Just a day later I was driving and then all the electronics went out, and almost simultaneously I heard and felt and huge boom come out of the tailpipe and it stopped working and won't start again. What do you think the problem is? alternator? timing belt?

Answers :

Sounds like your altenator. start the truck and remove the positive battery cable while the truck is running. If it stalls it's your altenator.
