Having problems with your 1987 Toyota Pickup ?

I am considering replacing the clutch on my Toyo 1987 4x4 pick up by myselt. I'm a relative novice (I've done brakes, steering, tie rods, etc., but nothing like this before). Is this something I should attempt?

Your clutch is pretty easy for that truck but you do have to do some rather heavy lifting if you do it with a standard floor jack. I suggest renting a trans jack and other than that its all simple nuts and bolts. when you drop the trans be cautious and balance the transfer case or it might get a little tricky putting it back in. Other than that it normally takes an at home on your back swap about 2 to 3 hours for an average mechanic. And also there are some good captions from a standard chilton manual. good luck
