Having problems with your 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet ?

1987 VW Cabriolet, clutch cable not broken but doesnt work?

\015 While driving in 1st gear and trying to go into 2nd, I pushed the clutch in and could not get it into gear. Then I heard a muffled "clunk" from under the hood. It sounded more as a hit then a snap. Then I could not get any gears in.\012\012The clutch cable does NOT seem snaped or broken. It just looks really lose, as if it had streched. Pushing the clutch all the way in I can actually see the cable move.\012\012Could the cable have gotten lose/streched? Or am I low/out of fluid? how do I fix it? I still cannot go into gear.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018
