Hi there,
You haven't said what type of vehicle, however the clutch pedal is usually connected via a rod under the dashboard, through the firewall to the piston of the master-cylinder, which in the majority of vehicles has the plastic clutch reservoir mounted on top, (otherwise there is a flexible hose to a reservoir mounted to guard/body close-by).
Hope this helps, Stevie-RayG :)
