Having problems with your 1988 Ford Bronco II ?
Has no oil pressure when ideling, has 20 lbs at highway speed.
You have either a weak oil pump or a faulty sensor check the leads on the oil sending unit and make sure they are not frayed. if they are not take it off and have it bench tested if it passes replace oil pump...please rate this
To pull the pan you will most likely have to pull the motor, and as for the lack of oil pressure at times, this happened to me and my engine eventually blew up. i did some reading and discovered that prior to 1989, bronco 2's had faulty cylinder heads that would crack inbetween the valve springs. sure enough this is what happened to my 88. so this may also be your problem if your pump and sensor check out.
