Having problems with your 1988 Ford Bronco II ?

Tail lights go out when switch is pulled all the way out. HELP PLEASE?

\015 Had truck for a year, super condition, 60,000 miles. Recently my tail and dash lights will go out when switch is pulled out all the way. If I slowly push switch back in, the tail and dash lights come on, a millimeter further and the headlights go out. Seems like a headlight switch right? Well I tried 3 different switches from junkyards and they all do the same thing. Don't understand how this can be, the description clearly points to the switch. Anyone have same problem?
