Car wont fire

\015 I have a 1988 Pontiac Sunbird the we had found out the timing was off because it jumped a cog, we think we have the timing right but not for sure, would that be the reason for it not firing or is there another reason that it could not be running right?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 29-06-2020

Answers :

Does the car run? When the belt jumps it can bend valves, a belt a tooth out or a bent valve will wreck the timing and firing order, try doing a compression test
