Having problems with your 1989 Cadillac Seville ?

1989 caddy. Press on the gas all the way to the floor, almost dies. As it warms up, gets a little better but no power at all. Now what?

Answers :

Older Cadillac's had a problem with the intermediate exhaust pipe,it is actually two pipes in one, what would happen is the inner pipe would get seperated from the outer and the exhaust would seperate the two pipes and end up blocking off exhaust under acceleration.the more gas you gave it the slower you went.
I had a problem like what you are describing and the problem with mine was the fuel pump was going out. Once I got it fixed it worked like a beast. Replace it yourself and save a lot of money.
