Having problems with your 1989 Chevrolet Beretta ?

Idles fast my beretta idles up to 3000 rpm's just sitting running. When I do start moving it will drop to 2000 rpm's but that is still fast. What is the problem?

Answers :

Intake leak or a bad idle air controler
The coolant temp sensor is bad. i have the same problem with mine. If the temp gauge does not work than that's the problem. when my beretta idles it runs rich, but if i rev it up it will stop for a couple sec.
