Having problems with your 1989 Chevrolet Corvette ?

Courtesy lights stay on all the time, only go out by pulling fuse

\015 All of the sudden my courtesy lights decided to stay on and run the battery down. Tried replacing the relay timer, didn't help.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 11-11-2019

Sir,

The courtesy timer is receiving an input somehow and starting the\015\012timer. You need to check the input voltages when wiggling the doors.\015\012Worn door pins and bushings or a latch can cause this. When the light\015\012is off grasp the door and try and force it around. If the light comes\015\012on you know which door it is. It isn't going to be the timer.

thanks
good luck

Do you have the light switch on? also there is a little switch on the door that gets pressed when you close it this part could be broken causing the car to think the door has been left open thus leaving on the courtesy lights
