If your engine is fuel injected, I recommend that you cut back the rusted area 'till you reach a relatively clean straight section, then install a new section of steel line using brass compression fittings made for this purpose. If you have a mechanical pump, (non-fi) You can just cut the line and slide a section of rubber hose on there and clamp it at both ends. Make sure either repair is properly supported and clear of any moving parts (don't forget rear end goes up and down) to avoid future failure of the repair. Note: hose can be used to make a temp repair to get it off the road, but higher pressures made by electric pumps can cause hose to work it's way off if left in place.
