Having problems with your 1989 Ford Ranger ?

Manual transmission slipping

\015 I changed the clutch and slave cylinder and still does same thing. trans slips when accelerating, going up hills, pretty much when i put andy torque on it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 23-04-2018

Did you have the flywheel resurfaced when you were having the clutch replaced. Not resurfacing the fly wheel can cause slippage and premature clutch failure. also did the release bearing run smoothly on the input shaft sleeve. sometimes the sleeve can get a burr on it preventing full release of the pressure plate. mike
