Ignition control box is actually termed an ECM (electronic control module) in those days, later changed to PCM, per the J1988 EPA standards. On the 1989 TF pickup, it was located typically under the center console, between the seats, depending on what equipment level you had. There was a coin tray that was used mostly as a cup-holder by consumers, and if you lifted out eh tray, the ECM was directly underneath. Other locations included under the glove box and behind the right and left kick-panels. It all depends on which engine/transmission/trim level combination you have.
