Having problems with your 1989 Jeep Cherokee ?

I have a 1989 Cherokee limited 4x4, it stopped running , just stopped. I've changed the distributor cap, rotor ,crank sensor, ballast resistor, no luck. I've got It to crank but it will not stay running unless you hold the key, not releasing it to the run position. It's getting fuel and good spark to the plugs, could something be wrong with the ignition?
