Having problems with your 1989 Pontiac Bonneville ?

MY 1989 PONITAC BONNEVILLE KEEPS STOPPING ON ME. THE ENGINE JUST GOES DEAD. SOMETIMES IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP AND OTHER TIMES IT TAKE THREE TO FOUR TRIES. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO. I JUST HAD AN ALTERNATOR AND WATER PUMP AND BELTS REPLACE ON THE CAR. THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS BEFORE THE LAST REPAIR.(THE ALTERNATOR) I DIDN'T HAVE IS PROBLEM BEFORE. THE CAR WAS RUNNING JUST FINE. THE PROBLEM STARTS RIGHT AFER I GOT GAS. SCOLEMAN

Answers :

Check the wiring on the alternator to make sure it's on securely. also check all sensor connections in the area where the shop was working...Better yet, have the shop check this stuff...They did the job...You should not have to be correcting it!
