1989 Volvo 240 GL: Will not start, no spark, no fuel

\015 1989 Volvo 240 GL automatic: The car ran erratically for a few weeks (low power at times, took a while to start on once occasion) and then would not start at all. The fuel pump does not switch on but when hot wired works fine, the fuel filter is not blocked, none of the fuzes I can find are blown (resistance checked with multimeter). There is no spark at the spark plugs. The ignition coil appears to have shorted as it read 12 volts at all terminals (hi tension and earth), it was replaced but still no spark or fuel pump. I do not have a workshop manual and cannot identify where to look from here.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 12-11-2018

Answers :

It is likely either the Crank position sensor, or the ignition module. (module is in the left front fender area behind the turn signal)
Try replacing you fuel pump relay,Go here http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/EngineFuelinjection.htm#FuelPumpandFIRelayDiagnosticTests.
