Having problems with your 1990 Daihatsu Rocky ?

Firing order or timing is wrong, help me fix please

\015 Replaced rotor and points/contact ( i can't remember which one, it's underneath the rotor under the dizzy cap. we then mixed up where the leads sat on the dizzy cap so got the firing order of the internet {(1-3-4-2) don't know if it's right or not either} and rotated the enging so cylinder 1 was up the top, put the plug and leads in had order of 1-3-4-2 from the next point the rotor would pass in the dizzy cap. only get an occasional backfire, other wise it's like there is no fuel, occasionally it sound like 1 of the cylinders sparks but late, has a pof sound, like it's half in the cylinder half in the exhaust. it's a Daihatsu rocky, build date was march 86' and is the 3y carby engine.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 27-09-2021
