Having problems with your 1990 Dodge Dakota ?

Is there a heater water control valve?

\015 I normally leave my a/c unit heat on high. I turned it to cool and immediately something started leaking coolant. I thought is was the heater water control valve. I can't find a part number for it. What do you think it is?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 30-03-2020

Answers :

It could be the heater core inlet hose or connection. Since you normally have coolant flowing thru the core, when you set the system to cool, the valve closed and increased the pressure on the inlet hose for the heater core. It's less llikely that the valve itself is leaking.
