Having problems with your 1990 Eagle Talon ?
Grinding when engaging into gear when warmed up.
\015 1990 Talon Manual 5 speed, runs great when i leave for work shifts like new until i get about 30 miles away then when i shift down or up its likes to grind into gear, i have enough hydralic fluid in the resevoir i have pumped the clutch to try and get any air out of there, clutch and transmision operate fine until i get about 30 miles from home and then starts acting up. Looking for some kind of help so i dont get the run around at the shop. Thanks.\015
Ok every time you open the clutch resevoir you have to bleed the slave ..next hold down the clutch to the floor open the bleeder screw 10 mm bolt and then close it and pick the pedal up off the floor if your clutch is not right the pressure plate is failing most likely on mitstu stuff ...bleed first ..
Sounds like you have slop in the clutch pedal. They all have to be adjusted sometimes to ensure the clutch engages fully. With the car off, you can just push on the clutch pedal with your hand. If it goes down without much resistance, you are not yet engaging the clutch. There should be some play but not too much. If you feel play in the pedal, you need to look in the engine compartment and follow the clutch cable to the transmission. If you don't know which one it is, have someone press on the pedal while you look at the engine. There is a adjustment knob to take up the slack.
