Try your camshaft position sensor. A lot of people over look that part. I had the same problem in a 95 YJ and did everything you did, but when I replaced the camshaft sensor it started right up. Hope this helps. Oh yeah, and it is located in the distributer. It is the black plastic disc with the wires comming out. Took me forever to figure out where it was at first!
I would go to a automotive parts store and buy a spark plug tester, it looks like a spark plug except it has a clamp on it and a crome plated ring around the spark post, you unplug one spark plug wire from the spark plug on your engine, put the tester in the wire, clamp it to a post on the engine, and have someone try starting your truck, if you see spark in the end of the tester it is good and if not the wire is bad or something in that connection, if all are good and you have spark in all the wires, you have a problem in the pistons...........start with this and go from their...............hope this helps.
