Having problems with your 1990 Jeep Wrangler ?

The problem started with me having to touch both the positive and negative side of the coil with a test light before the car would start. the positive side was bright and the negative side was dim, but it would start for a bout 10 seconds and just instantly die, the rpm needle would just drop, after doing the same thing a bout 4 times the jeep would stay running all day. Answers :

Check out the crank position sensor,if its bad it wont give any spark to the plugs.on the 4.0 models it located in the trans bell housing on the drivers side near the top.
