Having problems with your 1990 Nissan Maxima ?

1990 maxima Drivers side window, will power down but won't go back up

\015 Hello my daughter has a 1990 nissan maxima, She put the window down and I cannot get it to go back up. If I push the button down I can hear the motor trying to move the window down, But here nothing when trying to get the window up. I have removed the inside of the door and fisiclly tried to pull up the window but is does not budge. Even removing the bolts to the motor would not let the window move. is there a way I can run a wire to the up side of the motor while depressing the down switch to see if it will go up?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-02-2019

Answers :

Check the cable that lifts the window. If the cable is frayed or twisted and stuck the window will not work.
\015\012If this is the case the window regulator assembly must be replaced. It contains the bracked and cables that operate the window. It cost about $100.
\015\012I replaced all four on my 1990 maxima.
