Having problems with your 1990 Plymouth Acclaim ?

I have a 1990 Plymouth Acclaim with a 4 cylinder that will not start.

\015 The ignition switch was broken from when the vehicle was previously stolen and has finally quit working. It had turned the car over and then emitted a crackling noise and smoke. I had replaced it with another starter switch from the v6 model. it fit in perfect and all of the connectors were the same however it did not engage the solinoid and there is no power to the coil. what should i do?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-09-2020

Answers :

Sounds like a fuseable link or large fuse in the engine compartment has failed.
