Having problems with your 1990 Toyota Corolla ?

My oil light keeps coming on when i am idleing, but when i take off it shuts off. i think i have good oil pressure but is there a sensor that could be gone,

Yes, the sending unit is the most suspect item, but the correct thing to do is measure the oil pressure with an external "known good" gauge. On the other hand, the sending unit is not very expensive, and it could be changed, as a diagnostic step, but I would really prefer to know what the pressure actually is, as compared to specs....
