Having problems with your 1990 Toyota Pickup ?

My 1990 Toyota's #3 cilynder makes no difference with spark plug wire disconnected.

\015 Truck started to run very sluggish and had no power intermittently at first and now constantly.\012I have done leak down compression, changed plug wires, changed spark plugs, even exchanged the injectors (#4 went to #3 etc) when I remove the #3 spark plug wire there is no difference.\012Is there a way to test the signal/pulse going to the injector?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

Answers :

Yes you can test the injector pulse signal with a tool called a "NOID LIGHT". You can buy this handy little tool at any auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest for about $5, it plugs into the injector connector and flashes each time the injector is commanded to open by the processor. I personally think you have a defective wiring harness on the engine.
