Having problems with your 1991 Ford F150 ?

I have a 91 f-150 xlt supercab with a efi 302. i need to replace the throttle position sensor. is there any way i can do this without removing the throttle body? I can't get to the screws with an offset screwdriver or a "stubby".

The best way is to remove it so you don't cause any damage to the screws or other components. I do not remember if there is room for a thin-headed 1/4" drive ratchet, but you can sometimes use one with a 1/4" hex socket and a short screwdriver bit. Grind the bit down as short as possible if it helps. The aluminum and the threadlock holds these babies in awful tight. Worst case is remove the throttle body and replace the gasket when reassembling. I know it's frustrating. Good thing is you know how to save some money.
