Having problems with your 1991 Ford Tempo 4 Door ?

I have a 1991 Ford Tempo and after about 20 minutes of driving the engine will shut off and the RPM will drop to zero. In addition the charging system Amp light and Oil light are both illuminated when the engine shuts off. The alternator and battery are brand new so I am confused why the Amp light illuminates. As for the oil I'm certain there is too much in the engine, but I am under the impression that too much oil in the engine is not the entirety of the problem.

Check your tps throttle position sensor most autoparts stores can test it
When the engine stalls, the amp & oil light always come on. That is not a probelem. It's supposed to do that.
