Having problems with your 1991 Honda Accord ?

95 honda accord cuts off while running

\015 I have a 95 honda accord with manual transmission. Has cut off on me twice in one week while I am moving. Still have power as far as the radio but rpm's are at 0, can hardly steer and check engine light comes on. Pulled over and could not get to crank, but waited 10-15 mins and got it to crank and check engine light was off. Had towed to repair shop but they could not find anything wrong, but said may be distributer cap but did not know for sure and would cost a few hundred and may not even fix the problem. Do you have any idea what the problem may be? Just really scarey to be going down the road at 65 mph and loose power!\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 26-10-2020

Answers :

There are commom problems with the wiring harness that connect to the back side of the ignition housing. Tend to short inside the plastic housings. Take the scrowd off. 2 screws hold it on the ignition housing...it;s round and the wiring runs down the column . remove the 2 screws and disconnect the wiring harness under the dash. go to dealership around 50.00. post response if this helps.
