Having problems with your 1991 Honda Accord ?

I have a 1991 honda accord EX that i just replaced the alternator and battery on because of the battery light going on and power dying as i drive. once changing both alt and battery, the voltage went up to 14.5, but as i drive the car for a few minutes, the lights all cut off, car starts to drive weird and the voltage drops to about 8.5. I have a new alt and battery so i know its not those, does anyone have suggestions for what other problems it could be?

Even though You have a new alt, that doesnt always mean that its going to work as a new one should. Ive experienced new parts of many different applications being faulty and yes it sucks but thats just life. I would start by having the new alt checked by the seller and if thats not possible turn on your headlights and notice what kind of drop there is. I personally think its an internal alternator problem stemming from the brushes.
Just because they are new doesnt mean they are good. Plus, you may have a different problem and replaced perfectly good parts already. If the voltage goes that low in a few minutes, you have problems. Time to have a shop check it over that works on Hondas.
