Having problems with your 1991 Toyota Pickup ?

Electrical problem: repeated blown fuse on turn signal-dash light circuit. Note: tapped in to left rear light assemblage to serve towed trailer lights. Once had rear light failure/blown fuse, possibly caused by wetness to trailer wiring.

Answers :

Your not blowing fuses because of wet or damp conditions, your blowing fuses because the trailer lights are drawing to much Ampere in the circuit. The correct and best way to install a trailer light kit is with a Plug-In-Simple trailer wiring kit. It can withstand up to four amps, and has a solid state circuit board that will control the lights when activated. You can pick these kits up at any well supplied auto supply store. It has a plug that connects to the factory rear light socket, and also has a plug for your trailer connection. No splicing is required and it takes about ten minutes to install. I have these on my vehicle and never had a problem since.
I suggtes check all the wire connections for any loss wires or ground. Check the harnesses for any corrosion shows. Keep in mind that, while you dont solve it, the fuse is blow and blow again.
