Having problems with your 1991 Toyota Pickup ?

My clutch failed and so I replaced it - it was odd that clutch sensor was not working at the same time - Still didn't work, replaced the slave cyl - now see that it is ONLY the pedal! But it is the bolt going into the frame that holds the clutch in place - the frame appears to be broken, nothing to hold the bolt... ANY suggestions how I fix / weld this in such a tight place???

Answers :

This is a common problem, and yes it must be welded (which is the only way). I have done this repair on many Toyota trucks years 1989-1995, all same issues. I welded the cracks on the upper pedal support plate on these trucks. Make sure the interior is protected and that there is nothing flammable around the driver side deck. Hopefully this help'd
